Atticus + Raleigh Denim
Friday, August 6th, 2010
It’s official. We’re in love. If we could carve our names next to theirs on a tree, we would. If we could shake your shoulders and tell you how amazing this is, trust us, we would.
Raleigh Denim designers, Victor and Sarah Lytvinenko, are coming to Atticus, Friday, August 13, from 4–8 pm. They’ll be on hand to chat denim and personally fit and style you in your next favorite pair of jeans. Even though Victor tends to act a little like your mom because inevitably, he’ll ask what you think of the rise, you’ll be blown away by their brilliance and sheer dedication to crafting straight-forward, impeccable denim.
Hand sewn on vintage machines, with selvedge woven on the same looms that churned out original Levis (the couple set up shop in the company’s abandoned warehouse), Raleigh Denim sources all materials from within 200 miles of their home base in North Carolina. Their signatures of hand-made tradition are infused in every pair, literally. They sign every piece produced, because they “want people to know that every single pair is made by real people.”
You can check out event details and RSVP on facebook. And unless you want Shari to eat all of your delicious cookies from Graze, I’d try to show up early.
