The idea for the Denik Brand began when the Founder, Tyler, was told that one of his drawings would look awesome on a notebook. Growing up he was told that he shouldn’t pursue art as a career. Seeing an opportunity to build a brand around creative, cause-based notebooks, he and his Co-Founder, Jake, gathered up a team of college students at Utah State University and set out to create change. They started gathering artists and designing and binding notebooks. With each item sold, a portion of the proceeds was set aside to fund the building of a school in Mali, Africa.
